Static Electricity

January 28th, 2015

Today we explored the properties of static electricity! We learned about what the atoms look like, what is happening when we see the charge go off, and other important safety facts about playing with static electricity. If we were able to find a way to safely use this electricity to power our devices at home, do you think it would help our energy crisis and lower energy costs? Why or why not? Respond in the comments below.

Kinderbuddies

February 27th, 2015

Today we worked with our kindergarten partners to help them with their writing. They were given the question, "If you were president, what would you do?". You helped them answer it all by themselves! Good job! But now... I want you to answer that question yourself. What would you do if you were President of the United States? Remember, be detailed in your comments!

Geometry is Everywhere

March 23rd, 2015

Today we went out onto the playground to search for geometric shapes and patterns. We found the right angel more often than an obtuse angel. As you walked home from school you were asked to find other shapes and patterns along your way. What did you see? Did you see one shape or angle more than another? Why do you think so?
